"First there was:
"Less is more" Mies Van Der Rohe, mid-20 century
"Less is a bore" Robert Charles Venturi Jr, 1970's
"I'm a whore" Philip Corteyou Johnson, 1982
"More and More, More is More.." Rem Koolhass, 2001
"Yes is More" Bjarke Ingels, 2009
"Ten is More" UNSW Masters of Architecture, 2010
Think of the text as the logo...we can print it, paint it, spray it...small, medium, large and extra large!"
Thanks Brad!
I prefer Brad Swartz one!

So what's the relationship with Indiana Jones? http://www.brendanmckillip.com/uploaded_images/IndianaJonesLogo-756832.jpg
ReplyDeleteI think you need to be careful using such a famous font (SF Fedora - lowercase) without a clear indication of the choice of design, for something so well known...
Should you add a hat and a whip?... but then... again... what's the connection with Grad Exhibition?... an Adventure?... hmmmm... tenuous... Though the slogan itself is not bad, just think the logo aspect could be better.
If the font was changed to something more professional, it would look better.
ReplyDeleteI agree with all of the above. Good effort B-radicalles. I'm voting for this one.

To all the Anonymous,
ReplyDeleteit would be nice if when making comments you left your name, i would think that after 5 years of being at university we would all have the right to speak our minds without feeling like someone will judge us or dislike us for disagreeing with them. I'm sure that if you approached one of the committee leaders and told them what you think they would give you a better explanation for the design and slogan and they would very happily listen to your opinion and would even take it on board.
Yours HONESTLY,
Maria Gutierrez
Hi Maria,
ReplyDeleteDue to the public nature of this blog, I can only assume such comments are from people unrelated to our year, or even our degree. But the feedback is there none the less and it is at your/committee's/brad's discretion to take such criticism on board.
